Hello girls and boys, we hope you all had a lovely weekend. It is almost time for our summer holidays, with just over 2 weeks of homeschooling left. If we were in school, we would be doing lots of fun learning activities outside and in class so our work activities for home are going to be a little different this week.
Here is a list of suggested activities. As always, only do as much as you can and please share your work, we love seeing it. You can email it to us or share it via the Aladdin Connect app.
If you have your schoolbooks at home please work away at finishing them.

Wellbeing Wednesday!
It has been a tricky time for us all adjusting to a different way of life in recent months due to Covid 19. In our school, we always emphasise the importance of taking care of ourselves and our wellbeing. At the moment, we need to be extra mindful of taking good care of our bodies and minds!
So as part of home-school today, we are going to remind ourselves how we can look after our wellbeing.
Take a look at this diagram. It shows the different aspects of our wellbeing.

So as part of home-school today, we are going to remind ourselves how we can look after our wellbeing.
Take a look at this diagram. It shows the different aspects of our wellbeing.
Here are some things you can do today. They cover each of the areas above:
Social:
Smile at somebody at home and give them a compliment (For example: "Thank you for the delicious dinner!") or write a nice note to a family member.
Emotional:
Look in the mirror and say 3 things you feel thankful for. (For example: "I am thankful for my cool extra long hairstyle!"). You can write these down in your copy if you like. This is called showing gratitude when we take note of what we feel thankful for.
Intellectual:
Read a book you like for 10 minutes.
Mental:
Planning nice things we are going to do can be a super way of fostering a positive mental attitude!
Plan something fun you want to do over the next few weeks. Maybe you want to bake a cake, play a special game or visit somewhere you like with a grown up. Tell someone about your plans or write it in your copy.
Alternatively, you could do a jigsaw or puzzle if you have one to keep your mind occupied.
Physical:
Do twenty hops, twenty star jumps and jog on the spot for a whole minute. Eat a piece of fruit as healthy fuel for your body.
Spiritual:
Close your eyes and listen to your breath going in and out. Place your hand on your belly to feel it rise and fall as you breath.
Well done. Have a lovely day girls and boys!
Thursday 18th June
English
